Stella Maris College first opened its doors to scouting in 1956, and currently has over 165 members. The Group caters for Beavers (aged 5-7), Cubs (aged 7-11), Scouts (aged 11-15), Ventures (aged 15-18) and Rovers (aged 18-26). Weekly meetings and many activities are organised for the youth members, by a team of dedicated and trained adult leaders.
Meetings are held every Friday evening, and activities are held regularly throughout the year. These include abseiling, archery, arts, boating, camping, canoeing, climbing, community service, cooking, crafts, crate stacking, cycling, expeditions, first aid, fishing, hiking, high ropes, horse riding, laser tag, mapping, model building, obstacle courses, pioneering, rafting, rowing, scuba diving, shooting, snorkelling, sports, travelling, treasure hunts, windsurfing and much more!
The Scout Group is open to boys and girls aged 5 and above, and takes in new members twice a year. Those interested in joining the Group are asked to fill in and submit this online application form, to register their interest and join the waiting list.
