Throughout their expedition, they hiked from Etna to Linguaglossa, and the next day continued their journey around the mountains of Linguaglossa, putting their skills and teamwork to the test! 💪⛰️

National Rover Camp & Pjazza Rovers 2025 🌍🔥

Last weekend, a few of our Rovers joined another 13 Scout groups for this year’s National Rover Camp and Pjazza Rovers! ⛺🙌

The camp was themed around different nationalities and cultures, celebrating diversity through fun challenges and shared experiences 🌎✨

Participants were split into teams and assigned a country, which they represented throughout the weekend; taking on an iScout-inspired activity, a cooking competition based on their country, and cultural stunts around a warm bonfire 🍲🔥

The weekend was filled with fun, teamwork, and new friendships, and every Rover received a token of participation as a memory of this great experience 🎖️

National PLTC 2025 🏕️✨

This weekend, our PLs, APLs, and Troop Leaders attended the National Patrol Leaders Training Course (PLTC), a weekend focused on learning, leadership, and growth! 💪

Unlike a typical camp full of fun and games, this one was all about developing key skills through interactive sessions on teamwork & communication, financial literacy, PLC roles, and conflict management 🧠🤝

On Saturday, the focus was on strengthening our own group, building bonds and growing stronger together as a SMC Troop 💙🤍⚜️
On Sunday, things took a fun turn with a Monopoly spin-off game called “Scoutopoly” 🎲, where members teamed up with Scouts from other groups to make new friends and put their new skills into action! 🌍✨

A weekend full of learning, teamwork, and new connections, well done to all who took part! 👏

Our Mission – Summer Camp 2025 🌍♻️

This year, our camp mission was all about learning to protect the environment around us and our members rose to the challenge! 💪💚

🦦 Beavers played a fun recycling game, learning how small actions make a big difference
🐾 🔥Pack & Unit joined forces with @zibelofficial for a beach cleanup, helping keep our shores clean 🌊
⚜️ Troop welcomed a special guest who shared fascinating insights on marine life, especially the importance of protecting different seaweed species and the ecosystems they support 🌱🌊

But it didn’t stop there:
🍦 We reused Benna (Malta Dairy Products Ltd.) yogurt cups to freeze homemade ice-cream
🥗 Parents were encouraged to bring reusable plates & cutlery for our BBQ, reducing single-use plastics
💧 And thanks to our Quartermasters, we had a camp water filtration system that gave us fresh, clean water cutting down on plastic bottles and keeping everyone hydrated sustainably!

Together, these small steps made a big impact, showing that protecting our planet is part of the Scouting adventure. 🌎✨

With their fresh milk and yogurts, we managed to keep everyone fuelled up throughout camp 🥛🍶 One of our leaders even made fresh mozzarella from the milk, which the Troop then used for their open-fire closed pizzas 🍕🔥 And with the yogurts, we whipped up homemade ice cream 🍦 reusing the cups to freeze it, giving them a fun second life! 🌍♻️

We’re so grateful for Benna’s help in making this camp even more memorable, tasty, and sustainable 💪✨

Day 8️⃣ - Summer Camp 2025 🌞⛺

⚜️ Troop

On their final full day of camp, the Troop put their creativity and skills to the test by building balloon-powered cars 🚗🎈 and diving into a series of fun science experiments 🔬✨

As the sun set, the camp drew to a close with a meaningful Mass 🙏 a perfect way to reflect on the week’s adventures, friendships, and memories before loading the trucks the next morning 💛

What an unforgettable Summer Camp 2025 - one full of challenges, laughter, learning, and above all, the true spirit of Scouting🔥💪

Day 7️⃣ - Summer Camp 2025 🌞⛺

⚜️ Troop

Bright and early with full of energy the Troop took on a big challenge by designing and building their very own obstacle course 💪🪵 later they put it to the test with plenty of energy, teamwork, and fun! 🏃‍♂️🤸 Along the way, they faced off in a water game called Operation Overflow 💦 where the last team to keep their bucket full took the win 🪣🔥

As night fell, the Troop ended the day on a sweet note 🍦 making their very own ice cream in a bag. A fun and delicious reward after another action-packed day! 😋✨

On to our last and final day full of fun and adventure! Day 8 here we come 💪

Day 6️⃣ - Summer Camp 2025 🌊⛺

⚜️ Troop

The Troop spent the day taking on an exciting challenge; building their very own battle boats, one for each patrol! 🚤✨ Each team also designed a unique flag to proudly represent their boat before heading out to sea to put them to the test 🎨🚩🌊 From floating and durability to speed and design, the patrols raced their creations to see which one would come out on top 🏁🥇🏆

Later in the day, the Troop built their own open fires 🔥 and used them to prepare delicious closed pizzas from scratch 🍕 the perfect reward after a day full of teamwork, creativity, and adventure 💪💡🧭
