The Rover crew enjoyed an action-packed weekend getaway last weekend, filled with adventure and bonding at their recent camp. They spent a long day kayaking πΆ, swimming πββοΈ, and playing volleyball π under the sun. The following day, the crew showcased their baking skills by whipping up a couple of delicious cakes π°. It was a perfect opportunity for everyone to connect, unwind, and enjoy some much-needed time together. ππ«π€π
π₯³ We are proud to have reached a new milestone! 2οΈβ£0οΈβ£0οΈβ£+ active, awesome, scouts (youth members and leaders) now form part of the Stella Maris College Scout Group, each one being an integral part of the Group! βοΈ It has been a journey of gradual but consistent growth π, as we strive to be an inclusive Group, and to make a positive impact on our community! Over the past months, the Stella Maris College Scout Group worked on an initiative entitled "Be Prepared: Safe Scouting for All". This initiative was supported by AΔ‘enzija Ε»gΔ§aΕΌagΔ§'s A4U scheme, which helps groups enhance their capacity and strengthen their operations. Through this scheme, an AED trainer, anti-coking training device, a CPR dummy, a CPR meter, a burns first aid kit, a kitchen first aid kit, a variety of first aid kits (stocked with supplies) to cater for all the Groupβs members, first aid training and fire extinguishers, were procured for the Group. These resources have already been put to good use, supporting the Scout Group in implementing the programme of meetings and activities held throughout this year.
The troop celebrate the end of exams with an End of School Summer Camp at BirΕΌebbuΔ‘a Scouts Campsite. Full of activities such as kayaking πΆ, SUPs , cooking competitionπ³, and water gamesπ«π¦ all scouts had fun on this weekend camp with their friends and leaders. ππ€ππ€

From Saturday 29th to Sunday 30th June, the Unit members took part in a Joint Activity Night Hike with the St. Michael's School Scout Group πΆπ»π πΆπ»ββοΈ
To start off the activity, the executives planned some icebreaking games π² and later on the teams had the opportunity to decorate their respective flags π³οΈ The theme for this activity was Under the Sea π’π¦π¬π¦πͺΌπ π‘
This activity involved a very exciting multiple group blind drop, with very fun challenges and consequences along the wayπͺ’
To end the night, the groups all joined together at Ghadira as their finish line, in which they proceeded to take part in a sunrise cookout π³ and later enjoyed a swim and some beach games ππ»ββοΈπ
This joint activity was planned from both the SMCSG and SMSSG Exectives π«‘ Well done to everyone who participated as well as those who planned this memorable activity ππ»
On Friday 28th June, the Unit Section had their End of School BBQ at Ghajn Tuffieha Bay ποΈ The members took the opportunity to enjoy a nice sunset swim π
whilst playing some beach games π
To end the night they cooked some BBQ food π and also hosted the summer Elections π³οΈ Well done to everyone who participated and to those who got elected ππ»
Last Sunday, the unit section went to Gharghur for a day of abseiling π§π»ββοΈ and a cleanup effort π± They were tested on setting up the abseiling equipment themselves, and they had the rewarding experience of making the area cleaner than it was before βοΈ
